What's the difference between BLS and Heartsaver CPR?

Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR is a higher-level CPR Certification designed for healthcare providers and includes team-based resuscitation skills. Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED classes are for the general public and workplace training.

Who needs to take a CPR class? 

CPR training is required for all healthcare providers and often a condition of employment. CPR classes are highly recommended for teacher, coaches, childcare workers, fitness instructors, construction workers, police officers, and anyone who wants to be prepared to respond in the event of an emergency.

What will I learn in CPR Class?

If you’ve ever felt scared or unsure about what to do in a life-threatening situation, know that you can do this, and you will be trained to remain calm and provide the help a person needs. Our CPR AED certification CPR training will show you how to find the pulse, properly perform chest compressions, administer rescue breaths, and recall the seven steps of CPR. What is the difference between BLS and Heartsaver CPR Classes?

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a more advanced CPR certification designed for healthcare providers. Heartsaver CPR AED & First Aid courses are intended for the general public and workplace training.

Is your training certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)?

Yes, all of our classes follow AHA guidelines and include official AHA certification cards issued the same day as the class. All of our instructors are AHA Certified Professional instructors as well as Active-Duty First Responders with years of EMS experience and training.

How long does a CPR Class take?

Most CPR/AED classes take 2-4 hours depending on group size and skill level.

Do I receive a certification card after the class?

Yes, you'll receive you AHA eCard via email the same day you complete the course. It is valid for 2 years.

Can I renew my BLS or Heartsaver CPR Certification with your class?

Absolutely. Our BLS and Heartsaver CPR classes are open to both new and renewing students. The renewal process is the same as the initial class.

Do you off on-site training for businesses or groups?

Yes! we provide mobile, on-site BLS and Heartsaver CPR training for businesses, schools, gyms, churches and other organizations throughout Middle Tennessee.

What should I bring to class?

Just yourself! We provide all training materials and equipment. Comfortable clothing is recommended, as you will be practicing on manikins.

How much are CPR Classes?

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers: $60

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED class: $80

Do I need any medical background or prior training to take CPR?

Not at all! Most of our students have no medical experience. Our courses are designed to be hands-on, easy to follow and approachable for everyone!
